Early Life
Samkele Maseko was born on September 30, 1978 to a black family in South Africa, where he had his education.
He obtained a diploma degree and later enrolled for B-Tech broadcast journalism from Durban University of Technology.
Career
Samkele started writing while in high school and that has helped him discover his talent for reporting which in turn has been a foundation to establish himself in the media world.
Samkele who became known for his constructive journalism, has been able to cover issues from politics to social life.
He worked as a reporter for eNCA for several years where he became a news anchor for the station before he resigned in December 2019.
He later joined SABC in January 2020, and ever since then he has been doing so well in the media outlet.
Often known as the Lion of the Media, has been involved in lots of controversies in the media space but has never relent with his talent.
