She became known as part of the girl group Fifth Harmony before she went solo and established herself with collaborations with Shawn Mendes on “I Know What You Did Last Summer” and Machine Gun Kelly in “Bad Things”.

Early Life
Camila Cabello was born on March 3, 1997, in Havana, Cuba, to parents Alejandro Cabello and Sinuhe Estrabao. She was raised in the town of Cojimar in East Havana and also of mixed ethnicity as her father is a Mexico who moved to Cuba. She grew up with her younger sister, Sofia, and most of her early life has seen Cabello and her family move back and forth between Havana and Mexico City.
She moved to Miami, Florida, with her mother, at the age of six years old, as her father joined the family 18 months later due to not being able to get a visa. Cabello eventually obtained American citizenship in 2008.
She dropped out of Miami Palmetto High School in 9th grade to focus on her music career.

Career
Camila Cabello grew up listening to the likes of Alejandro Fernandez and Celia Cruz. She also had music influences from Beyonce, John Mayer, David Bisbal, Demi Lovato, Maná and Alejandro Sanz
Camila became known as part of the girl group, Fifth Harmony, comprising Ally Brooke, Normani, Lauren Jauregi, and Dianah Jane. The group finished third place at the TV talent television show The X Factor and signed a joint deal of Syco Music, owned by Simon Cowell and Epic Records , L.A. Reids record label.
The group came through with their extended play project Better Together in 2013. They also release studio albums, reflections, and 7/27 in 2015 and 2016, respectively.
Cabello teamed up with Shawn Mendes on a duet titled “I Know What You Did Last Summer” in November 2015 and released a joint single with Machine Gun Kelly on “Bad Things.”
Cabello went solo after she announced her departure from Fifth Harmony in December 2016. She began to collaborate with different artists, on “Love Incredible” with Norwegian DJ Cashmere Cat, on “Hey Ma” with Pitbull and J Balvin and on “Know No Better” with Major Lazer, Travis Scott, and Quavo.
Cabello rose to fame for her hit single “Havana,” which reached number one in Canada, Australia, Ireland, France, the United Kingdom, and the United States. It also became the Spotify most-streamed song ever by a solo female artist with more than 888 million streams in June 2018.
She released her first studio album, Camila, on January 12, 2018. Her second studio album was released on December 6, 2019.
She released the song “Don’t Go Yet” on July 23, 2021, as the lead single off her third studio album Familia, which was also released in April 2022, with features from Ed Sheeran, Maria Becerra, Willow and Youtuel. The album was named by Forbes as one of the most anticipated pop albums of 2022.
Camila Cabello headlined the UEFA Champions League Final on May 28, where she performed her songs Havana, Don’t Go Yet, Senorita, and Bam Bam, at opening ceremony of the event.
Aside from music, Camila Cabello made her acting debut with a role in the film Cinderella. She made television appearances as a guest on Saturday Live Night, and Dancing on Ice.
