Early Life & Background
Rexxie whose real name is Eze Chisom Faith is a versatile Nigerian music producer from Anambra State.
He is the first child in a family of three children.
He grew up in Abuja and Lagos, most especially in Somolu and Akoka area of Lagos. These had groomed him up in the Yoruba culture.
He attended Government Secondary School, Garki, Abuja for his secondary education.
He also obtained a degree in Computer Science at the Tai Solarin University of Education.
Rexxie started doing music in school while also playing keyboard in the church.
He was part of the school band and also the music prefect at Government secondary school, Garki. He began doing covers of trending songs and performing it in front of the whole school.
He became more curious to know popular songs were made and that has inspired him to go into music production. Of course he had to learn everything on his own.
The self acclaimed originator of Zanku Sound has revealed that his meeting with Zlatan marked the turning point in his music career.
He first recorded “Jogor” alongside Zlatan, Lil Kesh and Naira Marley. He also met with Olamide’s former artiste, Lyta and then they recorded his second single “Self Made”. Luckily for him, Olamide heard the song and then he was called up to record some songs with him and that was the beginning.
For Rexxie, everything seems to be happening so fast after recording a massive success with the single “Able God” by Chinko Ekun featuring Zlatan and Lil Kesh.
Today, Rexxie has produced lots of hit songs in Nigeria which include; Naira Marley songs; Tesumole, Mafo, Aye, Puta, Soapy, Sarkodie’s “Bumper”, Davido “Bum Bum” featuring Zlatan, Chinko Ekun “Able God” featuring Zlatan and Lil Kesh.
Aside music, he is also good at designing artworks.
