Early Life
Born Rahama Ibrahim Sadau on December 7, 1993, in Kaduna State, Northern part of Nigeria, as the daughter of Alhaji Ibrahim. She was raised by her parents in Kaduna alongside her 4 siblings; three sisters namely, Zainab Sadua, Fatima Sadau, and Aisha Sadau, and also a brother named Haruna Sadau.
Sadau had a good elementary and basic education in her hometown before proceeding for higher education where she studied Human Resource Management at School of Business and Finance of Eastern Mediterranean University in Northern Cyprus.
Career
Sadau began with a role in a Movie series on Ebony Life TV. She produced her first movie titled “Rariya”, under her newly formed production company “Sadau Pictures” in 2017. The movie featured the likes of Sani Musa Danja, Ali Nuhu, Fati Washa, and Sadiq Sani Sadiq.
She starred in 2019 MTV Shuga alongside the likes of Yakubu Mohammed, Timini Egbuson, Ruby Akabueze and Uzoamaka Aniunoh.
She played a minor character in the movie Khuda Haafiz: Chapter 2 – Agni Pariksha in 2022, while starring alongside Vidyut jammwal.
Rahama joined the Hausa film industry known as Kannywood in 2013 where she gained prominence with a role in Gani Ga Wane.
However, Sadau was suspended from Kannywood on October 3, 2016 by the Motion Pictures Practitioners of Nigeria (MOPPAN), for appearing in a romantic music video with the Jos born singer Classiq Q. The ban was later lifted in January 2018 after her letter of apology which she wrote to MOPPAN in 2017, and also with the intervention of the Kano State governor Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
Rahama Sadau has starred in other numerous movies such as; TATU, Zero Hour, Up North, Adam, Rumana, Kasa Ta, Wutar Gaba, The Other Side, Wata Tafiya, Gidan Farko, Farin Dare, Kisan Gilla, Garbati, Halacci, Chief Daddy 2: Going for Broke, and so on.
As an entrepreneur, she owns a beauty space named Sadau Beauty. She owns an Ice cream shop named Yogohamy. She also launched a charitable foundation, Ray of Hope.
