Early Life

Aziz Azion was born Aziz Mukasa on July 27, 1986, in Fort Portal, Uganda. He grew up in Kampala where he had his education up to Senior 4.

Career

Aziz Azion developed his passion for music with inspiration from Afrobeat and Afropop music genres. He learnt how tonplay the guitar in 1998 in a local Kadongo Kamu band called Makuge Kandongo Kamu group.

He spent one and a half year with the late Paulo Kafeero’s group called  Kulabako Guitar singer, and then moved to Kato Lubwama’s Diamond Productions for two years.

He also spent a couple of months with Eagles production where him and his band mates agreed to forma band that would play for all artists hence they brought about Jeckaki Band.

He composed his first song “Leero Monday” in 2007 and rose to fame for the release of his smhit single “Nkumila Omukwano”.

Signed to his self established record label, Shotym Music Entertainment, founded in 2020. Aziz has four albums to his credit which include, Nkumila Omukwano, My Oxygen, Uganda the Pearl of Africa, and Wampisa

He has worked with other artists such as Goodlyfe, Maryam Ndagire, GNL Zamba, and Juliana.
