Chikere was born on October 10, 1975.
He originally hails from Mbaise, Imo State, southeastern part of Nigeria.
He is the last child of his parents
He obtained a degree in English Language at the University of Calabar.
He also obtained his masters degree from the University of Lagos
Career
Tchidi Chikere started his career in the University while writing movie scripts while blending it up with being part of a three-man music group.
He traveled to the UK after his National Youth Service where he published his first book.
He ventured fully into the Nollywood industry after his tertiary education.
He has starred in movies such as Throwing Stones, Slave Dancer, When Heaven Smiles and so on alongside the likes of Van Vicker and Rita Dominic.

He has also produced countless of movies which include Dumebi, Paint My Life, Stronger Than Pain, to mention a few.
Chikere is also a musician who has 2 albums to his credit. His first album “Slaps n Kisses” was produced by OJB Jezreel and Marvelous Benji with features from the likes of Pat Attah, Jimmy B and OJB Jezreel.
He also came through with his second album which was released in the UK.
As a music video director, he is well known for directing the video to Kcee’s song “Agbomma”.
Personal Life
Tchidi Chikere got married to his first wife, Sophia Chikere and their marriage came to an end in 2012. Both Tchidi and Sophia union produced three sons.
He later got married to nollywood actress Nuella Njubigbo in a traditional wedding ceremony on March 29, 2014 at Anambra State which was followed up with a white wedding ceremony at the Catholic Church of Transfiguration, VGC, Lagos State on June 9, 2018.

Chikere won the Best Comedy for his movie “Stronger Than Pain” at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2008.
He has also got numerous nominations such as; Best Actor at the 2012 Golden Icons Academy Movie Awards and Best Original Screenplay at the 2013 Nollywood Movies Awards for directing the movie “Dumebi”.
