Kayode Kasum (born February 2, 1992) is a Nigerian film director and producer. He is well known for Oga Ibeji, Dognapped and Kambili: The Whole 30 Yards. He is also the director of Sugar Rush and Love is Yellow.

Early Life

Kayode Kasum was born on February 2, 1992 and hails from Lagos, Nigeria.

He is the first born of the family.

He went to Lagos State model college Kanko, Bdagry for his secondary education and a graduate of Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH).

Career

Kayode had passion for movie directing since childhood as he really loved telling stories.

He began his career professionally as a motion graphic designer at Wale Adenuga Productions.

Prior to fame, he had work for an agency and television decoder company where he was able to save money for two years and shot his first film was titled “Dognapped” starring the likes of Odunlade Adekola, Lota Chukwu, Tope Tedela, Wofai Fada.

Kasum rose to fame with the movie “Oga Bolaji” which is unique story of a 40 year old retired musician in Lagos, Nigeria who met with a 10 year old girl who just got into the country from Ghana with her mother

He is the director of Sugar Rush, Love is Yellow, Killing Jade, Sweet Face, Unbroken, This Lady Called Life and of course the comedy film “Ponzi” which features the likes of Mr Macaroni, Zubby Michael, Mawuli Gavor, Jide Kosoko, Uzo Amaka, Chinyere Wilfred, Gold Ikponmwosa and many others.
