Bri Babineaux was born on August 26, 1994, in Honololu, Hawaii. She is originally from Lafayette, Louisiana, United States. Her father, Shawnta Babineaux, who served in the military, moved the family to his hometown, Lafayette, Louisiana, when she was three months old.
Her parents divorced when she was barely two years old and was raised by her mother, Shannon Miller, and step-father, Louis Miller, a pastor at House of Freedom, in Lafayette, Louisiana.
She graduated from Northside High School and earned a scholarship to McNeese Stare University, of which she only stayed for one semester. She later majored in criminal justice at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
Career
Bri developed an interest in music at the age of three. She began posting videos on YouTube in 2014 and came through professionally in 2015 and released her debut album, Keys to My Heart, on March 25, 2016, via Tyscot Records.
She became known for the album, which charted on three Billboard magazine charts, while it was placed on the Billboard 200 and Top Gospel Albums charts.
