Muni Long was born Priscilla Renea on September 14, 1988, in Florida, United States. Her father was a member of the Navy. She attended Vero Beach High School for her high school education.
Career
Muni Long developed an interest in music at a very tender age and began as she grew older, she began posting videos on YouTube. Her first video was a rendition of “Cry Me A River”.
She signed with Capitol Records in 2009 and released the song “Dollhouse” on August 18, 2009. She released her first studio album Jukebox on December 1, 2009, and her second studio album “Coloured” on June 22, 2018.
She began writing songs for other artists which include “Worth It” by Fifth Harmony, “Love So Soft” by Kelly Clarkson, “California Bed” by Rihanna, and “Imagine” by Ariana Grande.
She also wrote songs for other artists like Chris Brown, Demi Lovato, Mika, Selena Gomez, and so on.
She released her single “Midnight Snack,” featuring Jacob Latimore in 2019, and “Build a Bae” featuring Yung Bleu in December 2020.
She became known for her single “Hrs and Hrs” and also went viral on Tik Tok for her song “Time Machine” in January 2022.
She signed with Def Jam Recordings in march 2022, and on July 1, 2022, she released the EP Public Displays of Affection, which was promoted by the singles Baby Boo, Pain, and Another.
