Early Life
Ogechi Shirley Igwe was born on April 2, 1988 to Mr and Mrs Igwe and originally a native of Imo State, South eastern part pf Nigerian.
She is from the Igbo tribe and can speak her local dialect fluently.
Her mother had passed away when she was barely 13 years of age while her father died in 2014. According to reports, both parents had suffered from diabetes.
Ogechi Shirley attended Federal Government Girls College, Owerri for her secondary education and also obtained a degree in Mass Communication from Imo State University.
Career
Ogechi Shirley started her acting career in 2012. She has starred in and produced lots of movies. She eventually came to prominence for her role in the movie “Mercy the bus driver”. She has featured in movies such as Royal Jealousy, Last three digits, Wind of Change, Escape for love and many others.
She has also acted alongside top actors in the industry which include the likes of Oma Nnadi, Ebele Okaro, Yul Edochie, Jerry Williams, Mike Godson, Nosa Rex and so on.
She already boast of several modelling gigs with top brands and has graced the cover of numerous magazines in Nigeria.
She has worked with the likes of Delta soap, Beauty Plus Online, Nene Jewelry and Craft, La Shugaz Beauty and so on.
She was appointed the Principal Protocol Officer to the governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha, in 2013, where she worked for two years while handling his itinerary and accompanying him to party conventions and events.
