Yul Chibuike Daniel Edochie popularly known as Yul Edochie is a Nigerian actor, movie director cum politician born on January 7, 1982.
Yul Edochie is the last son of the veteran actor, Pete Edochie and Josephine Edochie.
He was raised in both Lagos and Enugu and originally hails from Anambra state part of Nigeria.
He has last born in a family of six children. He has four elder brothers and one sister.
The first of his family is Leo Edochie followed by Uche, Linc and Gene. He has an aunt named Rita Edochie.
Yul obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Port Harcourt.
He is handsome and simply versatile in the entertainment sector.
Career
Yul Edochie started his acting career in 2005 after joining the Nigerian movie industry.
He got his first role in the movie “The Exquires” starring alongside Late Justus Esiri and Enebeli Elebuwa.
Yul came to limelight in 2007 with his role in the movie “Wind of Glory: alongside Genevieve Nnaji and Desmond Elliot.
He has starred in other movies such as Moms at War alongside Omoni Oboli, Passion of a Prince alongside Chiwetalu Agu, The Affectionate Wife alongside Queen Nwokoye and so on. He also starred in television series such as The Palace, Royal Castle and Tinsel.
He has worked with top actors across the country including Osita Iheme, Belinda Effah, Iyabo Ojo, Eucharia Anunobi, Ebube Nwagbo, Mike Ezuruonye, Ini Edo, Teco Benson, Kate Henshaw, Oge Okoye, Chika Ike, Chacha Eke, Daniella Okeke, Stella Damasus, Olu Jacobs, Ngozi Ezeonu, Halima Abubakar and many others.
Aside acting, Edochie launched a film academy in 2015 and also declared his intention to run for the Governor of Anambra State on August 22, 2017 under the political party “Democratic Peoples Congress”.
