Stella Damasus is an award winning Nigerian actress and singer born on April 24, 1978.
Damasus was born and raised in Benin city, Edo state where she had her primary education.
She later moved to Asaba in Delta state with her family where she completed her secondary school education. She also obtained a degree in Theatre Art at the University of Lagos.
Stella is one of the Nigerian actress endowed with beauty, brain and talent.
Career
Stella Damasus started off her career as a singer where she worked with the famous Klink Studio as a studio session singer.
She debuted into acting in 1992 and got her first role in the movie ‘Abused’. She eventually rose to fame for her intriguing role in the movie ‘Breaking Point’ as produced by Emem Isong and directed by Francis Agu.
Ever since she came to limelight, she has started in over 150 movies and has worked with the likes of Ramsey Nouah, Jim Iyke, Desmond Elliot, Florence Onuma and so on.
Aside acting, Damaris is the co-founder of i2radio and host of two podcast shows, ‘Undiluted with Stella Damasus’ and ‘When Women Praise’.
Personal Life
Stella Damasus got married to her first husband, Jaiye Aboderin in 1991 at the age tha of 21 and the couple has two daughters.
Unfortunately, Jaiye died in 2005 from heart attack and she remarried in 2007 to Emeka Nzeribe. She and Nzeribe parted ways less than eight months based on mutual agreement.
Damasus then got married to the Nollywood producer and director, Daniel Ademinokan (formerly married to Doris Simeon) in 2014.
Both Damasus and her husband, Ademinokan are business partners, having launched an online TV station, Mon Afrik TV in 2015.
Controversies
Damasus was accused of being a husband snatcher on the account that the last two men she has been with were happily married before she came and took them away.
However, the beautiful actress has cleared the air while saying that she my these men after they have left their wives
