Normani was born on May 31, 1996 in Atlanta, Georgia to parents, Andrea and Derrick Hamilton.

She grew up in New Orleans where she’s originally from before her family relocated to Peerland, Texas in 2005.

She also has two older half sisters.

Career

Normani kordei wrote her first song at the age of 13.

She has been able to develop her passion for singing with music influences such as; Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson, Beyonce and Lauryn Hill.

She auditioned as a solo act for the American TV series, The X Factor in 2012 which was followed up with becoming a member of the girl group, Fifth Harmony.
