Early Life
Arap Marindich was born Kennedy Kipkorir Lang’at in 1985, in Bomet, Rift Valley. He is native of Kalenjin in Kenya.
He attended Kaplong Boys High School and dropped out at form two due to lack of finance. He was later enrolled in driving school with the hope that he could make a career out of it.
Career
Before fame, Arap was a driver for a local businessman in Bomet. Both Arap and Tula Chemoget came to the limelight for their hilarious skit which they claimed to have participated in the World Rally Championship, a car race event held every year in Kenya.
According to the skit, they made it known that they emerged from the Bush, having passed through dangerous terrain before they could come out. Both confirmed the race was not easy as Arap said they were placed in the 15th position while the navigator said they placed 21.
The video became so popular on all social media platforms including TikTok. Their weather-beaten faces and expressions had quickly become a meme online.
