Brianna keilar was born Brianna Marie Keilar on September 21, 1980 in Canberra, Australia. She is of mixed ethnicity, her father Glenn Keilar is Australian, and her mother Miriam Allen Keilar is American. Her family lived in Australia when she was born and moved to the United States in 1982.
She attended Mission Viejo High School and obtained a bachelor’s degree in mass communication and psychology at the University of California, Berkerley.
Career
Keilar started her career at the CBS affiliate KIMA. She co-hosted the morning drivetime show Billy, Blue and Brianna, too: The Morning Zoo on KFFM.
She moved to CNS News where she became an anchor and reporter for a CBS newscast that aired on MTVU.
She joined CNN as a correspondent for CNN Newsource, and provides breaking news coverage and reports from the nation’s capital for up to 800 CNN Newsource partner stations.
She began writing the column “Home Front”, in 2019, which tells stories of military families and tries to bridge the civilian-military divide.
