Tove Lo whose real name is Ebba Tove Elsa Nilsson is an award winning Swedish singer and songwriter born on October 29, 1987.
Tove Lo was born in Djursholm, Sweden and she is the daughter of iZettle co-founder Magnus Nilsson and Psychologist Gunilla Nilsson Edholm.
She also has an older brother.
Lo has been described by Rolling Stone as ‘Swedish darkest pop export’.
She’s a versatile singer with numerous music genres of Electro, Synth pop, dance-pop, indie pop.
Aside her amazing vocals, she’s also a multi-instrumentalist and can play both the drum and piano.
Career
Tove Lo started singing at a very tender age and wrote her first song at the age of 10.
She pursued a career in songwriting and earned a publishing deal with Warner/Chappell Music in 2011.
Lo became a successful songwriter, recording and releasing her own compositions independently, having worked with producers Alexander Kronlund, Max Martin and Xenomania.
She got signed to Universal Music, Island and Polydor in 2013 and came to limelight the following year with her debut album “Queen of the Clouds”.
She released her second album “Lady Wood” in October 2016 with its lead single “Cool Girl”.
She also released her third single “Blue Lips” in November 2017.
Lo has written songs for numerous artistes and had worked with the likes of Alesso, Flume, Broods, Seven Lions, Nick Jonas and many others.
