Early Life

The Kid LAROI was born on August 17, 2003 in New South Wales, Australia.

He was born into a music related family as his father, Nick Howard, is a music producer and sound engineer who worked with Australian stars like Bardot and Delta Goodrem while his mother, Sloane Howard, was a talent manager and record label founder.

He went to Sacred Heart Parish school and also attended an Australian Performing Arts Grammar school on scholarship before he eventually dropped out to pursue his international career.

Howard lives with his mother and younger brother as at 2020.

Career

Howard developed passion for music at a very tender age while recording raps over beats on his mother’s phone.

He came through professionally in 2017 after he signed a development deal with Sony Music Australia.

He released his debut mixtape, 14 With a Dream, alongside Manu Crooks, B Wise and Miracle.

He created a partnership agreement with the record label Grade A Productions and Columbia Records in March 2019. He gained international recognition for his music video for the single “Let Her Go” after being released on the Lyrical Lemonade YouTube channel.

He released the single “Diva” featuring Lil Tecca, on January 31, 2020 and also released another song “Addison Rae” which was named after a social media personality star of the same name, on March 22, 2020. He released “Fade Away” on April 17 and on June 12, he released “Go” featuring the late American rapper, Juice Wrld.

He released his mixtape “F*ck Love” on July 24, 2020, with features from the likes of Juice Wrld, Corbin and Lil Mosey.

Laroi left Grad A Productions and signed signed a management deal with Scooter Braun in June 2021. He released a second deluxe of F*ck Love titled F*ck Love 3: Over You, on July 23. It features guest appearance from the likes of Lil Durk, Polo G, G Herbo, and Stunna Gambino.

However, he also ended his management deal with Scooter Braun and signed with Adam Leber at Rebel Management

Laroi has also worked with the likes of Internet Money, Y2K, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber.

He has been featured on style editorials for magazines like Flaunt and was on the cover of Wondaland magazine in Autumn 2021.
