Bajcetic was born Stefan Bajcetic Maquieira on October 22, 2004, in Vigo, Spain. He was raised by his Galician mother and his father Srđan Bajcetic is a Serbian former football.
Career
Stefan Bajcetic began his football career at the youth level with Celta Vigo. He joined Liverpool in 2020.
He got a professional contract with Liverpool in August 2022. He made his professional debut in a 9-0 home victory against AFC Bournemouth where he came on as a substitute, on August 27, 2022.
He made his Uefa Champions League debut in a match against Ajax on September 13, where he came on as a substitute for Thiago at the 94th minute. He became Liverpool’s youngest-ever player in the champions league, a record which was previously held by Billy Koumetio.
He also signed a new long-term contract with Liverpool in 2023.
On the international level, Bajcetic represented Spain at the U-18 level and is eligible to play for Spain and Serbia.
