Sofia Carson with the real name as Sofia Daccarett Char (born April 10, 1993) is an American actress, producer and singer who became known for her guest appearance on the Disney channel series, Austin & Ally. She is also known for her role as Ava Jalali in the drama series, Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists.
She also released her first single, Love is the name, while being signed to Hollywood records.
Carson is the first Global Ambassador of the Latin Grammy cultural foundation and also an ambassador for the beauty brand, Revlon.

Early Life
Sofia Carson was born on April 10, 1993 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to parents; Jose F. Dacarett and Laura Char Carson.
She went to St. Hugh School and completed her education at Carrollton School of Sacred Heart in Miami. She attended UCLA where she majored in communications with a minor in French.
Career
Carson developed passion for music with influences from the likes of Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran.
She first signed with BMI as a singer in 201e, where she performed as part of the cast on the 2015 Descendants soundtrack.
She later signed a worldwide record deal with Hollywood records and Republic Records in March 2016. She came through with her debut single “Love is the name” on April 8, 2016. She released an alternate version of the song featuring J. Balvin and also followed up with promotional single titled “I’m Gonna Love You” as released in August 2016.
She released the single “Back to Beautiful” in January 2017. The song which features Alan Walker was written by Julia Michaels.
She teamed up with R3hab in her singles released in 2018 which are; Miss U More Than U Know and I Luv You.
Carson never relent as she kept on dishing out exciting songs in 2021. She released “Fool’s Gold” in March and in September, she released “Glowin Up” as part of the My Little Pony: A New Generation soundtrack.
She began acting in 2014 where she made appearance as Chelsea on the Disney series, Austin & Ally. She had a recurring role on MTB’s series “Faking It”, few months later and followed up with another starring role as Evie in the Disney channel original movie Descendants.
She starred in Adventures in Babysitting in January 2015 and got a lead role in the fourth instalment of the A Cinderella stories, A Cimderella Story: If the shoe Fits.
She was announced for the role of April in Netflix dance film, Feel the Beat in July 2019. She also played the role of Sara in the thriller film, Songbird, in 2020.

Carson became the first Global Ambassador of the Latin Grammy cultural foundation where she is tasked with the duty of promoting and creating awareness of the foundation’s misson.
