Vanessa Anne Hudgens (born December 14, 1998) popularly known with the moniker, Vanessa Hudgens, is an award winning American actress and singer. She came to prominence for her role of Gabriella Montez in the High School Musical Film Series and also known for her role of Emily Locke in the NBC series Powerless.
She also got a recording deal with Hollywood records where she released two albums, “V” and “Identified”.

Early Life
Vanessa Hudgens was born on December 14, 1998 in Salinas, California, United States to parents, Gregory Hudgens who was a firefighter and Gina Guangco, who had series of office jobs. Her father died of cancer in February 2016.
Vanessa grew up in a Catholic home alongside her sister Stella Hudgens, in West Coast, from Oregon to Southern California.
She is of mixed ethnicity as her father was of Irish, French and Native American descent while her mother is Filipina, a native of Manilla, Philipines.
She attended Orange High School of the Arts and followed up with homeschooling with tutors.
Career
Hudgens started her acting career at the age of 15 where she got a role in the sitcom “Still Standing”.
She made her film debut with a role of Noel in the 2003 drama film, Thirteen, and followed up with another role in the 2004 science fiction adventure film, Thunderbirds.
Hudgens came to limelight for her lead role as Gabriella Montez in the Disney channel original Movie High School Musical, in January 2006 alongside Zac Efron and Ashley Tisdale.
She signed with Hollywood records and came through with her debut studio album, V on September 26, 2006, which was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America in February 2007.
She reprised her role as Gabriella in High School Musical 2 in August 17, 2007. She released her second studio album, Identified, on July 1, 2008 and later left Hollywood records.
She reprised her role in High School Musical 3: Senior Year and later confirmed that she was taking a break from her music career to focus on her acting career.

Hudgens has starred in other numerous movies such as; The Princess Switch: Switched Again, The Knight Before Christmas, Polar, Quintuplets, The Brothers Garcia, and many others.

Hudgens confirmed her relationship with Cole Tucker via her Instagram page in 2021.
