Early Life & Background
Mzvee was born on June 23, 1992 in South La Estates, Accra to parents; Ernest Hamenoo- Kpeda, a businessman and Florence Hamenoo-Kpeda, a caterer.
She is the last born in a family of 4 children.
She has three siblings, two older sisters; Roselyne and Margaret (Marrgee) and a brother, Christopher. Marrgee is a makrup artiste and entrepreneur.
She attended St Martin de Porres School and St Mary’s Senior High School. She also major on Business Administration at Ghana Telecom University.
Career
Mzvee joined the Ghanaian music industry in 2012 as the lead singer of Lynx Entertainment’s girl band D3. The group released several singles including “Good Girls Gone bad” and “Gyani Gyani” before they they split in 2013.
She came through with her debut single “Borkor Borkor” in January 2014
She released her debut solo album in November 2014 which comprises of several hit singles such as; Bokor Borkor, Dancehall queen, Natural Gift and so on. The album features top artistes such as Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Didier Awadi, Richie Mensah and many others.
She also followed up with a second album “Verified” as released in November 2015. The album boast of 7 nominations at the 2016 Ghana Music Awards.
Her third album “Daa Vee” was released in May 2017 with numerous promising singles.
She parted ways with her record label, Lynx Entertainment in 2019.
She was away from the music scene for two years and returned in 2020 where she released another album titled “Inveencible” on December 11, 2020. The album features the likes of Navy Kenzo, Kojo Funds, Efya, Medikal, Sarkodie, Mugeez and so on.
Aside music, Mzvee was appointed the World Bank Ambassador for their “End Extreme Poverty Campaign” in October 2015. She had released an official campaign song “End Poverty”.
