Early Life
Morell was born Musa Akilah on April 11, 1991 in Bauchi State. He is originally from Borno State, Northern part of Nigeria. He is from a muslim background. He is one of the seven children of his parents. He has six siblings; four sisters and two brothers. His father who was a policeman has passed away.
He had a good elementary and basic education in Bauchi State where he was raised.
Career
Morell grew up listening to the likes of Akon, Mark Morison, Eminem and so on. He was discovered by a friend and came through professionally in 2007 with a collaboration on Rugged Man’s album “Move Something”.
He followed up with a collaboration on Naeto C’s single titled “Bamilo”. His talent soon paved way for him as signed to Bento Recordz in 2011.
Morell came to the limelight for his song “Antisocial” which features Olamide. He also gained exposure for his songs “Ba Wani Bugatti” and “Aure”.
He has released several singles such as Ganda, Fatima, Farida, Soul, Kidawo, Next Level, Atikulated and so on.
