DJ Jimmy Jatt whose real name is Oluwaforijimi Adewale Amu, is an award winning Nigerian DJ born on October 15, 1966.
He was born and raised in Lagos Island, Lagos State where he had his early education.
He originally hails from Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.
Career
DJ Jimmy Jatt had passion for music at a very tender age as he grew up listening to various genres of music including the likes of hip hop, Afro-beat, jazz, high-life, pop, afrojuju, rhythm and blues and many others.
He started his career as a rapper before he delved into DJing after being unable to secure a record label deal despite releasing several songs.
He came to limelight for his “Jimmy’s Jump Off” concert, an event he started in 2008. The event had showcased many emerging talents in the country.
