Jibue Omorhirhi (born October 12, 1986) professionally known as Jibbywest, is a talented Nigerian stylist, fashionpreneur, costume designer and blogger. She came to prominence as the COO of Indigo Boutique, a fashion powerhouse and one of the oldest Boutiques in Lagos, Nigeria. Indigo Boutique already enjoys good reputation in the country having styled lots of celebrities which include the likes of Funke Akindele, Yemi Alade, Mercy Aigbe, Sylvia Nduka, Chioma Akpotha and many others.

Early Life

Jibbywest was born on October 12, 1986 in Lagos state and originally hails from Delta State, South-South part of Nigeria.

She attended Chrisland and Queens College, in Lagos for both her primary and secondary education respectively.

She obtained a BA in Business Studies from the University of Glamorgan in 2005 and a Bachelor of Science degree in 2008, from Brunel University London. She also holds a Master of Arts degree in Fashion Management and Entrepreneurship from Northumbria University.

Career

Jibbywest has a robust profile as a fashionpreneur. She is well known as a stylist, costume designer and blogger.

She is the COO of Inidigo Boutique, a boutique which already boasts of styling A-list celebrities across the country such as; Yemi Alade, Funke Akindele, Oge Okoye, Ini Edo, Mercy Aigbe, Chioma Akpotha, Moet, Uriel Music and so on.

As a stylist, she has worked with numerous multinational companies, SME’s and top personnels. She worked closely with the likes of Guinness, Soundcity, Masha Mombelli, Belle Sauvage, Music Meets Runway, Elizabeth Waldorf, LSF, Omowunmi Akinnifessi, Jane Michael, Lumination Global Network. She also worked with music sensations, Emma Nyra and Niyola.

She worked alongside Masha Mombelli during London Fashion Week 2010 with other talented stylists, makeup artists, photographers and designers.

She interned with Toju Peters where she became the costume designer for the movie Sapio. She hosted and styled two randomly selected individuals for the show Bargain Hunters on Soundcitytv. She also became the main stylist for the Elizabeth Waldorf City Woman’s show for City People Magazine, where she styled the host Toke Makinwa and the models. She styled Omowunmi Akinnifesi for the cover and article in Vanguard Allure magazine. She styled the model in DJ ECool’s video featuring Davido “For You” which was shot at Indigo Boutique.

She was also one of the stylists backstage at the Music Meets Runway third edition in 2013, where she was given an award.

Apart from her professional work and academic excellence, Jibbywest has a passion for community development. She is a co-founder of a non profit charity God’s Plan, where she gives back through several initiatives. She also works with the non-profit organization, Inter-Bau Foundation. She has much love for working with foundations, most especially being of help to children using her gifts and also assisting others in need.
