Wassim Joseph Slaiby (born November 16, 1979) simply called Wassim Slaiby, is a popular Lebanese-Canadian music executive, talent manager and entrepreneur. He came to prominence as the co-founder and CEO of XO Records. He is also the founder and CEO of Universal Arabic music, in partnership with Universal Music Group and Republic Records
He is also the founder of the management company, SALXCO, where he became the manager of top music artistes like French Montana, Brandy, Doja Cat, Nicki Minaj, Doja Cat and music producers likes Metro Boomin, Breyan Isaac and Rob Knox.

Early Life
Wassim slaiby was born on November 16, 1979 in Ghazir, Lebanon. He lost his father at the age of 10 when he was 15 years old, he moved without his family to Canada.
Career
Slaiby co-founded the record label Capital Prophets Records and signed music artist, Belly and Massasri. Belly’s 2007 album, The Revolution won the Juno award for Rap Recording of the year while Massari’s self titled album, also earned a Juno award nomination.
He co-founded XO records and through the label, singer, the Weeknd released his first three mixtapes, House of Baloons, Thursday, and Echoes of Silence. XO Records was later assume by Universal Music Group as a subsidiary label after the Weeknd signed with Republic Records. Other producers and songwriters such as; Belly, DaHeala, DannyBoyStyles, and Harry Fraud were added to the label in 2013 and by 2015, Slaiby became the label’s CEO.
Slaiby is also the founder of the managment comoany, SALXCO, where he manages top artistes and music producers which include the likes of Nicki Minaj, Doja Cat, Swedish House Mafia, Metro Boomin, Diddy, Ali Gatie and so on.

Aside being a talent manager, Slaiby became the head of the international partnerships of the Lebanon based music streaming service, Anghami, in December 2017. He also became an investor of the music focused social video platform, Triller, in 2019.
Personal Life
Slaiby got married to his wife, Rima Fakih, on May 15, 2016 in a wedding ceremony which took place at the Patriarchal Edifice in Bkerke, Lebanon.
The wedding ceremony was graced by top personalities such as; French Montana, The Weeknd, Haifa Wehba and so on.
Rima Fakih is an American Lebanese model who became known as the Miss USA 2010.
