Tonto Wigo Charity Dikeh well known as Tonto Dikeh is a Nollywood actress, producer, singer, entrepreneur and philantropist born on June 9, 1985 in Porthacourt.
Tonto Dikeh who is also known with other names like Tontolet and Poko, hails from Ikwere tribe in River state.
Tonto is the 3rd child in a family of seven, she has five other siblings having lost her mother at a tender age of 3.
She attended both her primary and secondary education in Porthacourt, River state and obtained a Bachelors degree in Petrochemical Engineering at River State University of Science and Technology.
She came to limelight with the movie “Dirty Secret” having won the tv reality show “Next Movie star”.
Ever since then Tonto has featured in more than 150 nollywood movies including Missing Child, Dangerous Child, Ropes of Faith, Before The Rain, Garden of Love, Royal Apart, Princess of my life, Last Mission, Native son, Fatal Mistake, Miss Maradona, Zara, The Bride is mine, Men in love and many others.
The beautiful actress got married traditionally to Oladunni Churchill in August 2015 but they later divorced and went their seperate ways. She welcomed her first child Andre Omodayo Churchill which has been in her custody ever since she stays apat from her husband.
Asides acting, she also ventured into music where she was signed into DB Records owned by D’Banj on June 13, 2014 but later left in March 2015.
Tonto Dikeh has won numerous awards for her effort which include; Best Actress of the year at the Africa Magic viewers choice awards, Best Actress in a leading role at the City People entertainment awards and Most prominent Actress in Nigeriaat the Africa Movie Academy Awards.
