Early Life
Testimony Jaga was born in Ogun State and originally from Remo North. He grew up in Lagos and spent part of his life on Oyo and Ondo State. He is the 22nd of the 24 children of his father and second son of the 6 boys of his mother. He is from a Muslim background.
He had both his primary and secondary education in Lagos State.
Career
Tesrimony Jaga was once a secular music artist before delving into gospel songs. He began doing gospel music in 2012.
It all started when he was arrested by SARS in 2011 and was taken into the police custody. There, he had an encounter with God of which he made a promise to come back to him if he eventually come out of the police custody.
He came to the limelight for his song “Igara” and has been known for other songs like Testimony, Take It, Gone for Life, Jehovah and David Dance.
He also has an initiative called SGM (The Street Gospel Movement), a concept that takes him and his band to the streets for shows, while ministering through gospel songs.
He has shared stage with the likes of Eben, Joe Praise, Frank Edwards, Sinach.
Aside music, he has a clothing line called JAGS Wear, branded music speakers known as TMJ Audio, and a retail gas outlet. He has a band known as “The Testifiers band” and they play at weddings, birthdays and other events.
