Austin “Tay” Iornongu Iwar who is professionally known as Tay Iwar, is an award winning Nigerian singer, songwriter, sound engineer and record producer born on June 9, 1997.
Tay Iwar is from Benue state and was raised in both Lagos and Abuja where he began creating music at the age of 14.
His style of music is exceptional with Afro-fusion that perfectly blends various elements from Classic RnB to Afrobeats.
Career
Tay Iwar released his debut EP “Passport” in 2013 which had helped him garnered commercial standing while making his sound stand out as one of the most influential in the new age of Nigerian music.
Ever since he came to limelight with his debut EP, he had released numerous hit singles and performed on stages. One of his memorable moment was his opening for the Nigerian soul singer, Asa on her 2017 “Encore” tour in Lagos.
