Tyron kaymone Frampton (born December 18, 1994) professionally known as Slowthai, is a British rapper and songwriter. He is a versatile singer known for music genres of hip hop, grime and elements of punk rock. His music was described in an article for Vice Media as “caustically witty bars over abrasive beats that blend grime, trap and soundcloud rap”. He already boast of two studio albums and extended play projects to his credit.

Early Life
Slowthai was born on December 18, 1994 in Northampton, England. He was raised by a single mother, who is of Barbadian descent.
He went to Northampton Academy and also studied for a Btech in Music technology at the Northampton College.
The name, Slowthai was given to him as a result of his slow speech and drawled tone.

Career
Slowthai worked as a labourer before he ventured into music. He began working with the FL Studio while releasing several singles and extended play projects through the Bone Soda label.
He has been able to develop his passion for music with influences from the likes of Juelz Santana, Jay-Z, Nirvana, Eliott Smith, Mount Kimbie and so on.
He team up with the Indie Record Label, Bone Soda to release his I Wish I Knew EP, in 2017. He also signed a recording contract with Method Records in the same year, while releasing his RUNT EP, and also his debut studio album, Nothing Great About Britain.
Slowthai released lots of singles in 2020 from “Feel Away” featuring James Blake and Mount Kimbie to “nhs” and “Thoughts” which came along with a lyric video.
He released the single “Mazza”, alongside A$AP Rocky in January 2021 and the following months, he released another single titled “Cancelled” featuring Skepta.
He released his album “Tyron” on February 12, 2021. The album features the likes of Dominic Fike, Denzel Curry, James Blake, Skepta, A$AP Rocky and so on.
