Born Samuel Chimerenka Chukwueze on May 22, 1999, is a professional Nigerian footballer who plays as a winger for both Spanish club side, Villareal CF and the Nigerian national team.
Chukwueze is originally from Umuahia in Abia State where he was born and raised.
He grew up in a Christian family alongside his younger brother and sister.
He attended Government College Umuahia and Evangel Secondary school for his secondary education.
Chuwkueze who has a height of 5 feet 8 inches and an amazing pace with the ball, has been known to be one of the most talented young Nigerian player.
His style of play and tremendous dribbling skills have made some compred him with the Netherland Winger, Arjen Robben while some had called him the “Nigerian Messi”.
He is an accurate passer with excellent ball control.

Samuel Chukuweze started playing football at the age of 8 with much admiration from the Nigerian football legend, Jay Jay Okocha.
He began with the local club side Diamond Football Academy before joining Villareal CF’s prolific youth setup in 2017.
He made his senior debut with the reserves on April 15, 2018 where he came on as a second half substitute for Sergio Lozano in a 1-1 Segunda Division B away draw against CE Sabadell FC.
He scored his first senior goal on May 20, 2018 in a 3-1 defeat to Bilbao Atletic.
Chuwkueze made his first team debut on September 20, 2018 after replacing Nicola Sansone in a 2-2 home draw against Rangers for the 2018-19 UEFA Europa League.
The talented young star represented Nigeria at the Under- 17 level at the 2015 U-17 World Cup in Chile.
He was called up to the Senior team in October 2018 and made his debut on November 20, 2018 as a starter in a 0-0 friendly draw against Uganda.
