Paul Feig was born Paul Samuel Feig on September 17, 1962, in Michigan, United States, to parents, Sanford William Feig, and Elaine Elizabeth. His father, William Feig owned Ark Surplus on Gratiot Avenue, and his mother, Elaine Elizabeth, was a telephone operator.
He attended Wayne State University for a year before he transferred to the University of Southern California.
Career
Feig began his career as a stand-up comedy act and got minor roles on major television shows. He showed up in several films which include Ski Patrol.
He came to prominence as an actor for his role as Tim the Camp Counselor in the comedy film Heavyweights.
He made his directorial debut with the drama film Am David and followed up with the Christmas comedy film Unaccompanied Minors (2006).
He is also known for directing other films such as Bridesmaids, The Heat, A Simple Favor, Spy, and Ghostbusters.
