Michelle Chinwendu Alozie was born on April 28, 1997 in California, United States to Nigerian parents from Imo State.
She went to the Granite Hills High School for her high school education. She obtained a Bachelors Degree in Molecular Biology from Yale. She also played football for the Yale Bulldogs while at the Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.
Career
Alozie began her football career at the youth level with Legends FC in 2011 before playing for Granite Hills Cougars.
She had a college career with Yale Bulldogs and Tennessee Volunteers in 2015 and 2018 respectively.
She came through professonally after signing a contract with Bill Kazygurt in January 2020. She joined Houston Dash in 2021 and also signed a two-year contract extension in December 2022.
At the international level, she made her debut for the Nigerian senior team in a 0-1 friendly loss to Jamaica. She ws named as part of the squad for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023. She made an impact in Nigeri’s 3-2 victory over the co-host Australia.
