Born Kobbie Boateng Mainoo on April 19, 2005 in Stockport, England. He is from a christian background. He holds dual nationality as he was born and raised in England to a Ghanaian parents. Career
Mainoo began his career at the youth level with Cheadle & Gatley Junior football club before joining Manchester United at a tender age of nine.
He signed his first professional contract with Manchester United in May 2022 and was called up to the senior squad for training in October 2022 after an amazing performance against Carlisle United in the EFL Trophy.
He made his debut for the club in a 3-0 EFL Cup victory against Charlton Athletic on January 10, 2023 and made his league debut in a 3-0 win over Leicester City on February 19.
He made his first competitive start for Manchester United in a 3-0 Premier league victory away at Everton and also made his Champions league debut in a 3-3 away draw against Galatasary on November 29, where he came on as a substitute at the 58th minute.
Mainoo who is also eligible to play for Ghana, represented England at the Under-17, Under-18, and under-19 levels.
