Ibinabo Fiberesima is a Nigerian actress, ex-beauty queen and model born on January 13, 1973.
The former president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria was also born in Pothacourt, River state, Nigerian to an Irish mother and a Nigerian father.
She attended Federal government grils college, New Bussa, Niger state for her secondary education and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English language and Literature from University of Ibadan.
At the early stage of her career, Ibinabo Fiberesima participated in the 1991 edition of Miss Nigeria beauty pageant as hosted by Silverbird television but eventually lost to Bibiana Ohio.
Before this, Ibinabo had won the Miss Wonderland contest in 1990 and was also a runner-up at the Miss NUGA competition held at the University of Calabar, Cross River state, Nigeria.
Ibinabo also participated in the 1997 edition of the Miss Nigerian beauty pageant and emerged first runner-up. Still in 1997, she was crowned winner of Miss wonderful.
Ibinabo Fiberesima joined the Nigerian movie industry in 1997 but came to limelight after her first movie “Most wanted”.
Ever Ibinabo Fiberesima she rose to fame, she has acted in more than 200 Nollywood movies including Most wanted, The Ghost, Ladies night, St. Mary, Pastor’s wife, The limit and many others.
Ibinabo Fiberesima walk down the aisle on 18th December 2014 with her
university boyfriend, Uche Benjamin Ugbuka who is also a U.S based
businessman.
Their marriage was the talk of the town from the
traditional to the white wedding ceremony which was outstanding, but all
that came to an end as it was reported recently that their marriage had
broken up.
Ibinabo Fiberesima has also been involded with
several controversies. In 2009, she was charged to court for
manslaughter and reckless driving and in 2016, she was removed as
Natioanl president of Actors Guild of Nigeria where she was sentenced to
five years in prison by the Federal high court.
However, on April 7, 2016, the beautiful actress was granted bail on the payment of N2 million.
