Corbin Bleu (born Corbin Bleu Reivers on February 21, 1989) is an American actor, singer, model and movie producer. He is well known for his role in the film, Catch that kid and To Write Love on her Arms.

As a singer, he came to prominence for his song “Push It to the limit” and already boast of numerous albums like Another Side and Speed of Light.

Early Life

Corbin Bleu was born on February 21, 1989 in Brooklyn, New York City, United States to parents, Martha and David Reivers.

He is of mixed ethnicity as his father is Jamaican American while his mother is Italian American.

He has three younger sisters; Phoenix, Jag and Hunter.

He studied dance for several years as a child while focusing on ballet and Jazz. He also attended Los Angeles County High School for the Arts.

Career

Bleu began to make appearance in television commercials like Lufe Creal, Hasbro and Nabisco at the age of two and the the age of four, he became a model with Ford Modeling Agency in New York.

He appeared in his first professional theater production off Broadway, at The Town Hall, at the age of six.

He began acting in 1996 with a recurring role on the ABC police drama High Incident and a guest appearance on ER. He also appeared in films like, Beach Movie, Soldier, Galaxy Quest and Mystery Men.

He starred in the television series, Flight 29 Down in 2004, alongside the likes of Lauren Storm, Kristy Wu and Johnny Pacar.

Bleu came to limelight in 2006 for his role in the Disney Channel original film High School Musical, which also starred the likes of Vanessa Hudgens, Monique Coleman and Lucas Grabeel. He followed up with a role in anothet Disney Channel original Jump In! in 2007.

He played the lead role in the film Free Style in 2009 and made his Broadway debut in 2010 as the lead character, nrodega-owner Usnavi, in the musical In The Heights. He also starred in the short comedy film, I Owe My Life To Corbin Bleu, in 2010, starring alongside Drake Blell  Mattal Prokop, Josh Sussman and Sarah Hyland.

He co-produced and starred in the indie horror anthology Scary or Die in 2012 and also had role in the horror film, The Monkey’s Paw in 2013.

She played the role of Mercutio in an episode of the family drama, The Fosters and also had a small role in Castle in 2016.

He appeared as Tommy Oliver in the NBC television series in Chicago Med and starred in the Netflix drama film, Walk.Ride.Rodeo., in 2019.

He appeared on The Disney Family Singalong and also became a guest star in Supergirl in 2020.

He became a cast in the Hallmark Channel entitled Love, For Real in 2021 and also appeared in the a Lifetime Christmas movie, A Christmas Dance Reunion.

As a singer, he came through professionally with the single “Circles” in 2006 for his then TV show, Flight 29 Down.

He signed a contract with Hollywood Records and released his debut album, Another Side in May 2007.

He became known for his first single “Push it to the limit” which was used to promote the movie “Jump In!” in 2007. He followed it up with the second single titled “Deal With It”.

He released his second album, Speed of Light via Hollywood records in March 2009. The album boast of songs like “Moments That Matter” and “Celebrate You”.

Corbin Bleu started dating actress Sasha Clements in 2011 after they met in a Toronto grocery store.

Bleu proposed to Clements on October 15, 2014 and later got married on July 23, 2016.
