Amber Heard was born on April 22, 1986, in Austin, Texas, United States to parents David Clinto Heard and Patricia Paige. Her father owned a small construction company and her mother was an internet researcher. She also has a younger sister named Whitney, and the family resided outside Austin.
She grew up a Catholic and later identified as an atheist after she lost her best friend in a car accident.
She went to a Catholic high school and dropped out to pursue a career in acting.

Amber Heard participated in beauty pageants while growing up and later delved into acting.
She started to get small roles in the television series Jack & Bobby, and The Mountain.
