Mario Sentell Giden Mims (born 19th May 1981) popularly known as Yo Gotti, is an American rapper, songwriter and music producer. He is the founder of the record label, Collective Music Group. He came through with his debut album Youngsta’s On a Come Up in 1996 and has gone to release a couple of other projects.

Early Life
Yo Gotti was born on May 19, 1981 in Memphis, Tennessee.
Career
He started his music career as a rapper at the age of 14 where he used the name Lil Yo.
He came through professionally in 2000 and had released numerous independent albums from 2000 to 2006, which include; From Da dope Game 2 Da rap game, Self Explanatory, Life and Back to Da Basics.
On January 10, 2012, he released his major label debut studio album, Life from the Kitchen while featuring Lil Wayne on the second single on the album “Women Lie, Men Lie”.
Gotti came through with his own record label Collective Music Group with his brother as the president. He went on to release his Sixth Studio album “I am” under the imprint.
He has released other projects such as; Untrapped, The Art of Hustle and so on
He has also worked with lots of top artists such as Nicki Minaj, Young Jeezy, Jay Z and many other.
He has a brother, Brandin mums, who is also the president of his record label, Collective Music Group (CMG).

Yo Gotti got married to Lakeisha Mims on May 17, 1989 and they had two daughters and a son before they went their separate ways.
He later dated Jammie Moses and they also had three children together.
