1. Runtown – Mad Over You
Sound god, Runtown who has been struggling to make his hit songs count even after the release of trending song “Gallardo” featuring Davido and “Lagos to Kampala” featuring Wizkid, took the industry by storm when he dished out a record breaking song “Mad Over You” in November 2016.
The song which was produced by Del B didn’t get that much popularity until it was given a visual treatment in December same year as shot by Clarence Peters.
2. Davido – If
‘If” which was Davido’s first single of the year, became an instnt hit appreciated by music lovers across the globe.
The song is produced by hit maker Tekno and directed by Director Q.
Davido was certainly sure of what he wants for himself when he ditched international collaborations to drop music locally to his home base and the result was asuperb performance.

3. Olamide – WO
Olamide’s “WO” simply emerged as one of the street favorite upon its release with different artistes doing their own cover to the song, i so much love that of Qdot’s cover though.
The song which was produced by the YBNL in-house producer, Young John, futher went viral after the release of its so called “Street Video”.
4. Small Doctor – Penalty
“Won ti gba penalty wo throwin”. self acclaim king of the street, Small doctor has been so exceptional in dropping hit songs for the streets but has been so unlucky in terms of awards and nominations.
This time, his hit single “Penalty” became one of the favorite among the streets of Nigeria with production credits to 2T Boyz.
This visuals is also amazing, directed by Unlimited LA with cameo appearances from Mz Kiss and Junior Boy.
5. Mayorkun – Mama
Everyone had thought it was a fluke when Mayorkun released “Eleko” which went viral but the fast rsing singer proved to everyone that he isa force to reckon with in the Nigerian music industry by dropping other hits like “Sade” and “Love You tire” featuring Mr Eazi.
This seems not to be enough for his fans as the singer thrills again with the release of Kiddominant produced record “Mama”.
The video was delivered by Clarence Peters and had gathered more than one million page views upon release.
6. Tiwa Savage – All Over
The Mavin songstress, Tiwa Savage has always got the magic touch, making every song a hit.
Here the singer enlists her amazing vocals on the baby fresh produced single and was accompanied with a colorful visuals which was shot in Miami, Florida by the award winning cinematographer, Patrick Elis.
7. Tekno – Yawa
“Yawa” by Tekno comes on the list as it is one of the trending single released by Tekno after “Rara”.
The song which was produced by Masterkraft was given an official video directed by Patrick Elis with cameo appearance from high life sensation, Flavour and Chief Obi.
8. Wizkid ft. Drake – Come Closer
Wizkid follows up his hit song “Daddy Yo” with the song “Come Closer” featuring the Canadian singer Drake.
“Come Closer” is the third single off Wizkid’s album “Sounds From The Other Side”.
9. Niniola – Maradona
Niniola Apata breaks into the Nigerian music scene with the release of her song “Maradona” produced by Sarz.
She teams up with Mex to create a video that perfectly depicts the true meaning of the song.
10. Wande Coal – Iskaba
Black diamond entertainment boss, Wande Coal simply reminds everyone what it takes to be a vocal power house.
He released “Iskaba” produced by Spellz and “Ballerz” produced by Maleek Berry.
“Iskaba” which features UK based DJ Tunez, gets a video directed by Sesan.
11. Lil Kesh – No Fake Love
Just after floating his own record label “Y.A.G.I” which means Young and getting it, Lil Kesh drops a new single “No Fake Love” produced by Young John.
On the song, the singer talks about the people pretending to love him. The lyrics read thus: “If you can’t love me, don’t love me later because me no want any fake love”.
12. 9ice – Living Things
This particular song had caused a lot of controversies online with many claiming that the singer is hailing fraudsters who are known as Yahoo boys in the country.
Of course, 9ice made it known that the Young John produced song “Living things” is all about appreciating the hardwork of people who wakes up in the morning and go out to hussle in order to make a living.
