Early Life
Sir Shina Peters was born on May 30, 1958 in Ogun State part of Nigeria.
Career
Shina Peters who started doing music at a very tender age, had learned how to play different musical instruments such as Guitar and Piano.
He joined Ebenezer Obey’s band and later left to be a guitar player for General Prince Adekunle’s band after which he also left to form a band known as “Shina Adewale” alongside Segun Adewale. The duo released numerous albums together in the 1980s.
He finally came through with his own band called “Sir Shina Peters & His International Stars”.

He released his first album “Ace (Afro-juju series 1)” in 1989. The album which was produced by Laolu Akins and released under CBS records of Nigeria, is a fusion of afrobeat and juju which blends so well with fast percussive beat and different musical instruments like guitar and electronic keyboards. He followed up with the release of another album titled “Shinamania” and of course it produced hit singles like; “Omo Bo”, “Oluwa Yo Pese” and “Give Our Women Chance”.

Sir Shina Peters had a relationship with actress, Clarion Chukwura and they have a son named Clarence Peters.
Clarence Peters is an award winning Nigerian cinematographer. He has shot videos for top musicians in the country which include the likes of Olamide, Kizz Daniel, Don Jazzy, Psquare, Reekado Banks and so on.
Sir Shina Peters got married to his wife Sammie Ayoka Peters in 1983, and their union is blessed with lovely children.
