Early Life & Background

The talented singer who was born on August 19, 1989 in Enugu, grew up partly in Abuja and Lagos where he had his primary education. He later moved back to Enugu to cvomplete his secondary education.

He is currently studying Fashion management at a Fashion school in New York City.

Music Career

Upon his return to Lagos from Enugu state with Phyno, Runtown started out professionally in 2007 while doing underground collaboration with artistes such as J.,Martins and Timaya.

He rleased his first single “Runtown” as produced by Soge in 2007 and then in 2010, he dropped another single “Forever” which was accompanied with a music video directed by IvanEdd films.

in 2014, Runtown soon gained the attention of fans with the single “Gallardo” featuring Davido which also earned him a multi million naira recording contract with Eric Manny entertainment.

He later released the video to “Gallardo” which featured cameo appearances from the likes of Skales, Phyno and Patoranking. The colorful and amazing visuals was shot and direcetd by Clarence Peters.

On 23rd November 2015, he dropped his highly anticipated debut album “Ghetto University” which features guest appearnces from the likes of Wizkid, Phyno, Uhuru, Antii and DJ Khaled.

In 2016, he released another hit single “Mad Over You” which stayed on top of charts for sevearl months.

Ever since then, Runtown has been a force to reckon with in the industry dropping hits back to back from “For Life” to “Energy”.
