Early Life
Piers Morgan was born Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan O’meara, on March 30, 1966, in Surrey, England. He is the son of Vincent Eamonn, an Irish dentist, and Gabrielle Georgina Sybille, an English woman. He has an older brother named Jeremy Morgan. His father passed away when he was 11 months old and his mother later married Glynne Pughe-Morgan.
He went to Lloyd’s of London, and then studied journalism at Harlow College.
Career
Morgan started his career in 1998 at The Sun. He was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch in 1994, and that made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half of a century.
He edited the Daily Mirror from 1995 and was fired in 2004. He became the editorial director of First News during 2006 to 2007.
He hosted the ITV talk show Piers Morgan’s Life Stories from 2009 to 2020, and the CNN talk show Piers Morgan Live from 2011 to 2014.
He co-presented the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain with Susanna Reid from 2015 to 2021 and also became a judge on both America’s Got Talent from 2006 to 2011 and Britain’s Got Talent 2007 to 2010.
He became a presenter for TalkTV on the programme Piers Morgan Uncensored since 2022.

Piers Morgan got married to his first wife, Marion Shalloe, a hospital ward sister, in 1991. They separated in 2004 and divorced in 2008. They had three sons together.
