Patience Ozokwor is a popular Nigerian veteran actress turned evangelist born on September 14, 1958.

Patience was born in Enugu state and attended Abimbola Gibson Memorial School in Lagos. She obtained a degree in Fine and Applied Arts from Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu.

She started acting as far back in primary school while starring in different stage plays.She continued with that in secondary school where she played the role of Hamlet in Shakespeare’s classic drama.

Patience first worked as a radio presenter and newscaster before she joined the Nigerian movie industry in 1998.

She rose to fame in 1999 for her role in the blockbuster movie “Living in Bondage”. She has also starred in other movies such as “The Calabash”, “My Sweet Mother”, “The Coven” and so on.

Patience got married at the age of 19 and lost her husband due to illness. She has 3 biological children and 5 adopted children. Her first son is an engineer while her last born is a professional soccer player with Rangers International football club in Enugu.

Patience has won numerous awards such as Best Actress of the Year at the African Magic Viewers Choice Awards and Best Supporting Actress of the Year at the 10th African Movie Academy Awards.
