Early Life
Nyma Tang was born on April 3, 1991 to parents from South Sudan. She is the oldest in a family of seven girls. She speaks the Nuer language and her family had moved to the U.S when she was barely 3 years of age.
Career
Prior to fame, Nyma had trained as nurse before she eventually dropped out at the age of 21 to pursue her interest of being a beauty Vlogger.
Her passion to be a Vlogger ignited after she saw a black woman being celebrated while watching the America’s Next Top Model.
She began her YouTube channel at the age of 25. She came to limelight in 2018 for her YouTube series, The Darkest Shade, where she reviews the darkest shades of products from different makeup brands.
The same year, she also unveiled her own shade of MAC cosmetics lipstick known as “Nyma Tang”. She has partnered with tops brand like Bobbi Brown, Fenty beauty and so on.
She is a beauty logger with a difference and for her effort, she won the Best on Beauty at Shorty Awards in 2018.
