Early Life

Nordin Amrabat was born on March 31, 1987, Naarden, Netherlands. He has a younger brother named Sofyan Amrabat, who is also a footballer with the Italian club Fiorentina.

Career

Nordin Amrabat began his football career at the youth level with Omniworld before moving to VVV-Venlo and a year later, he signed for PSV and played in the UEFA Champions League. He joined Turkey’s Kayserispor and later agreed on a five-year deal to join Galatasary for a reportee fee of €8.6 million, on July 12, 2012. He made his debut for the club in a 3-2 win over Fernabahçe in the 2012 Turkish Super Cup, on August 12, 2012.

He joined the Spanish club Malaga on a six-month loan in January 2014 and scored his first goal for the club in a 2-0 win over Osasuna. He agreed to extend his stay at the club for the full season in August 2014.

He joined the English club Watford for a transfer fee £6.1 million, on January 18, 2016. He made his debut in a 2-1 victory over Newcastle, where he came on as a substitute for Troy Deeney.

He returned to Spain and agreed to a one-year loan deal with CD Leganes on September 1, 2017.

He signed a three-year deal with Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr. He won the league titled with the team in the 2018-19 season.

Amrabat eventually signed a two-year deal with the Greek club AEK Athens on August 21, 2021.

Amrabat represented the Netherlands at the under-21 level and Morocco at the under-23 level before he decided to play for the Moroccan national team.

He was part of the Moroccan team at the 2013 African Cup of Nations. He also made the team for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
