Morenike Balogun was born to a Nigerian parents in the United States.
She studied Film and Television Studies at Dartmouth College. She also attended University of San Diego School of Law and University of Copenhagen.

She wrote “Let Me Hear A Rhyme”, a drama based on the novel by Tiffany Jackson. Let me Hear A Rhyme which was published in May 2019 by Katherine Tegen Books, was produced alongside Curtis Jackson well known as 50cents via his G-Unit Film and Television.
