He is well known for his musical style of trap, a sub-genre of hip hop, where he infuses heavy bass rattling synthetic percussion and gothic melodies. Early Life
Metro Boomin was born on September 16, 1993 in St. Louis Missouri, U.S. He was raised alongside his four siblings.
He went to Parkway North High School and proceeded to Morehouse College to study Business Management.
Career
Metro began making beats at the age of 13 where his mother bought him a laptop and a copy of the music production software, FruityLoops.
He moved to Atlanta to pursue his music career and eventually came to prominence for his debut mixtape, 19 & Boomin, in 2013, while featuring artists like Gucci Mane and Trinidad James.
He released his studio album, Not All Heroes Wear Capes in 2018.
He has released numerous collaborative albums such as; “Without Warning” alongside 21 Savage and Offset, in 2017. “Double or Nothing” with Big Sean in 2017, and “Savage Mode II” with 21 Savage, in 2020.

Metro Boomin gained awareness for his producer tag “Metro Boomin wants some more” in 2016. His iconic tag “If Young Metro don’t trust you i’m gon’ shoot you” was first noticed in Drake’s single “Jumpman” from the collaborative mixtape “What a time to be alive”.
He already boast of succesaful recordings with top artists like 21 Savage, Future, Migos, Drake, Lil Durk, Young Thug, Gucci Mane anf many others.
Personal Life
Metro was in a relationship with his high school girlfriend, Chelz, in 2013 and as at 2015, nothing has been heard from the two as everyone thinks they have parted ways.

Metro Boomin won the Producer of the Year at BMI R&B/ Hip-Hip award and BET Hip-Hop awards in 2016. He also won the Best Producer award at BET Hip-Hop awards in 2017.
