David Debrandon Brown (born September 25, 1985) popularly known as Lucky Daye, is an American singer and songwriter. He became known as a vocalist on songs by Keith Sweat on the album “Just Me” in 2008 and Neyo “She got on her own” in 2014. He has written songs for the likes of Trey Songz, Boyz II Men, Keke Palmer, Ella Mai and many others.

Early Life
Luck Daye was born in September 25, 1985 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
He is of African-American ethnicity and was raised by a single mother.
Career
Brown developed his passion for music with influences from the likes of Lauryn Hill, Stevie Wonder, Rick James and so in. He soon relocated to Atlanta, Georgia to pursue his music career.
Prior to fame, he competed in the American idol at the age of 19. He got eliminated after he reached the top 20.
Daye got signed to Keep Cool Records and RCA records in 2018 and came through with his first single “Roll Some Mo”. He released his first EP I, on November 9, 2018 and his second EP II, on February 6, 2019, which were part of a series leading is to his debut studio album, Painted as released on May 24, 2019.
As a songwriter, he wrote for Boy II men on the song “Believe us”. He co-write songs by Keke Palmer on “Enemiez” and Ella Mai on “10,000 hours”. He also worked on the sound “Song Goes Off” by Trey Songz and two tracks from Mary J Blige album, Strength of a Woman.
He co-wrote Zayn single “Better” on September 25, 2020 and also released another EP “Table for two” on February 12, 2021.
