Lauren Lapkus with the real name as Dorthea Lauren Allegra Lapkus (born September 6, 1985), popularly known as Lauren Lapkus, is an American actress, podcaster and comedian. She came to prominence for her role as Susan Fischer in the Netflix comedy drama series, Orange is the New Black and also known for her role as Jess in the HBO comedy drama series, Crashing.
Lapkus has also made appearance on several podcasts such as; Improv4humans and her own podcasts, Laptime with Lauren Lapkus and With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus.

Early Life
Lauren Lapkus was born in Evanston, Illinois, on September 6, 1985.
She attended Evanston Township High School and obtained a degree in English from DePaul University.
Career
Lapkus began her career with credit to numerous commercials such Jack in the box and Snickers.
She came to limelight for her role as Susan Fisher in the first and second season of the Netflix comedy drama series, Orange is the New Black.
She unveiled her own podcast on the Earwolf network which is called “With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus”, in 2014, with guests on the show such as; Scott Aukerman, Betsy Sodaro and Nick Kroll.
Lapkus also got recurring role as Jess in the HBO series “Crashing”, between 2017 and 2019.
She already boast of appearance in other films and television series alike which include; Jurassic World, The Unicorn, Clipped, Are You There, Chelsea?, The Big Bang Theory and so on.

Lapkus married Chris Alvarado, an actor, on May 3, 2014 and they divorced in February 2016.
Lapkus married again and this time to Mike Castle, who is also an actor. They got married on October 5, 2018 and announced on May 8, 2021 that they were expecting a baby girl in the summer.
