Anita Obidi Korra is a Nigerian singer, dancer, model and actress born on June 23, 1994.
Obidi is from Oshimili North of Delta state where she was also born and raised.
She grew up in the church alongside her two siblings.
She attended Command Secondary School, Ojo, Lagos and studied Business Education at the University of Education.
She’s known for several viral videos across the various social media platform including Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.
She has cut across borders to have a vast knowledge in the arts of Dance and movement.
Korra Obidi started her career at a tender age while singing and dancing in the church.
Obidi began her music career in October 2015 with the release of her first single “Man Like You” which was followed up with a debut EP “Woman Power”.
In December 2017, she released a world cup song titled “Africa” and in 2018, she ranked number 4 for her single “Parkwell” in the Nigerian music charts.
Following the success of “Parwell”, she released a new single “Money Be Person” as produced by Killashay.
Korra is still making waves in 2019 with the release of her single titled “My Bobo” as produced by Kayo Music.
Lets not forget that Obidi is also a dancer who trained in belly dance and the classical Odissi in Cairo and Lagos under the tutelege of Priti Mastakar.
She had performed alongside Walid Atallah at the Ladies A’la Monde in Muscat, Oman and the Burj Al Arab, Dubai in 2016 as the only black act representing women of color.
Korra made her first national appearance on MTVBASE with her debut single “Man Like You” in October 2015 and in 2019, she appeared on America’s hit dance show, “So You Think You Can Dance”.
As a model, she became a lead model for the Black eyed peas music visual wings.
She has appeared on runways during both GTBank Fashion Week and the Port Harcourt International Fashion Week.
Her talent in modeling speaks for itself as she has been crowned Miss Radiography 2009 at University of Lagos, Miss Moremi 2010 at University of Lagos and Miss Congeniality for Miss Global Nigeria in 2014.
She has also got featyredc by top artists in Nigerian including Davido, Tekno, Timi Dakolo, Orezi and so on.
Personal Life & Marriage
Korra Obidi got married to her American Husband, Dr Justin Dean, a Sports Therapist and Chiropractor.
Korra and her husband welcomed their first child, baby girl in July 9, 2019.
The lovely couple currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
