Eden Hazard was born on January 7, 1991 to footballer parents, Thiery and Carine Hazard.

His father, Thiery had spent most of his career with La Louviere in the Belgian second division while his mother had played at the Belgian Women’s First Division.

Career

Eden Hazard started his career with his hometown club Royal Stade Brainos at a tender age of four. He spent eight years at the club before moving to Tubize.

Eden was then spotted by a Lille scout while playing ina local tournament at Tubize.

He joined Lille in 2005 and trained at their local sports school for two years. He signed his professional contract on a three year deal with Lille on May 28, 2007.

After playing at the amateur level for sometime, he got promoted to the senior team during the 2008-09 season under manager Rudi Garcia and these had seen him with a three year contract extension at Lille.

Hazard was signed by Chelsea on June 4, 2012 with a transfer fee of E32 million. He made his competitive debut for Chelsea in the 2012 FA Community Shield against Manchester City which ended up in a 3-2 defeat at Villa Park.

Eden Hazard got married to his childhood love, Natasha Van Honacker in 2012 at a private ceremony.
